We are right in the middle of the Walloon Picardy (formerly known as 'Le Tournaisis'). On this very extensive site (in french) you will find an overview of all the sights of the region (such as the archeosite in Aubechie (also only in french), the car museum of Leuze (in English), the beautiful cities of Tournai and Ath, and there are dozens of walks or bike rides to download.

Grandmetz is also an excellent base for visiting the larger cities in Belgium and the north of France such as Lille, Brussels, Bruges, Ghent and Mons. The cottage is at only 3 km of the Railway station of Leuze-en-Hainaut with a direct link to Brussels.
